What this is

Meridian is a research desk. It screens public company filings and a priced market tape, then publishes scores, ranks, and events. It is not a broker-dealer, not a registered investment adviser, not a credit rating agency, and not a substitute for the original 10-K, 10-Q, or 20-F.

Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, or an offer of any financial product. You are solely responsible for any decision you make.

Public desk and accounts

Desk and Today are the public feed. Universe on the public tape is one page of names with basic filters (zone, sector, model, and rank-by). Preset screens, bound filters, and further pages are for signed-in desks.

Keep your login to yourself. Watchlists and alert rules belong to that account. We may suspend an account that abuses the site, reverse engineers the models, or republishes ranks as if they were ratings.

Scores and data

Classic Z, Z″, Bank, O-score, market distance-to-default, Meridian Rank, and Today events are model output. They can be wrong, stale, or incomplete. Zone colors are sample bands from published academic work, not a forecast of default.

Filings come from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC / EDGAR). Prices and shares come from public market data vendors. Those sources can lag, omit tags, or restated later. We do not warrant that any figure matches the issuer’s as-filed financials. Always read the filing.

Method describes how the desk is used. Quantitative weights, cuts, and implementation detail may be withheld. Using the site does not license you to copy, scrape, or reconstruct that analysis.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, bulk-download, or overload the site.
• Do not reverse engineer proprietary rank, event, or blend logic.
• Do not republish Meridian output as a credit rating, as investment advice, or as your own product without written permission.
• Do not attempt to access another person’s account or watchlist.

Intellectual property

Site text, software, layout, and the Meridian name are owned by the operator. Meridian™ is an unregistered mark. SEC, EDGAR, Yahoo, and Nasdaq names identify public sources and remain those parties’ marks. You receive a limited, revocable license to use the site for your own research, not a license to the models.

No warranty; limitation

The site is provided as is. We disclaim warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for lost profits, trading losses, or indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site or reliance on any score, rank, or event.

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the site is limited to the amount you paid us for the site in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you paid nothing.

Changes

We may update the site and these terms. The effective date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after a change is acceptance of the new terms.

Usage data

The site uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. That product does not use cookies and is not used to identify you. A fuller privacy notice may follow at launch.

Draft status

These terms are a working public draft for the desk. They are not a substitute for advice of counsel. A later launch may add a privacy notice, a governing-law clause, and account-specific terms.
